Self – Drive Directions to Wildwaters Lodge:

From Kampala Via Jinja Rd:
Turn left at Nile Breweries. Travel for 26 kilometres on this road (passing Nile Horseback safaris and The Haven), until you get to the town Kangulumira. Turn right just before the Petro City Service Station. Travel 3 kilometres on this gravel road across the roundabout until you get to a metal fence and gate on the left-hand side.  The Wildwaters Lodge guard will let you in and direct you to the parking area.  He will radio the lodge to send a boat to the jetty.

From Kampala Via Gayaza /Kayunga Road:
This is our preferred route as there is less traffic and its very scenic and slightly shorter than coming via Jinja. If you haven’t come this way before it can be easier to come on the Jinja road and return on the Gayaza Road. To get to Gayaza Road from Kampala centre, travel to Ntinda from Bukoto along Kira Road and turn left at the main junction which will take you past the Ndere Centre.  After Ndere Centre, you reach the Northern bypass roundabout. Take the 2nd exit and at the T-junction turn right, passing Moonberg Breweries. Travel along this road until you get to a junction at Kayunga town where you will see a large blue Wildwaters sign on the right-hand side.  Turn right towards Jinja and t
ravel past Nazigo village until you get to Kangulumira.   Here you will see a large, blue Wildwaters sign on the left-hand side. Turn left just after Petro City Petrol Station. Travel 3kms along a gravel road until you get to a metal fence and green gate on left. The Wildwaters guard will let you in and direct you to the parking area.
