Hollywood comes to Wildwaters
Wildwaters Lodge were honoured and delighted to recently host Chicago PD Actress - Sophia Bush at Wildwaters Lodge during her recent trip to Uganda. Whilst here, Sophia met with womens empowerment companies 31 Bits, Akola Project and Sseko Designs.
Joining her at Wildwaters was Connie Britton - American actress, singer and producer who has been appointed by the UNDP as a Goodwill Ambassador.  Both enjoyed a few days at Wildwaters for some R&R.
Another recent guest of Wildwaters was none other than Lupita Nyong'o who was in Uganda for the filming of Disney's Queen of Katwe. The film tells the story of Ugandan chess wunderkind Phiona Mutesi, whose rise to prominence in the international chess circuit was documented in a 2011 ESPN magazine article by Tim Crothers. Crothers subsequently expanded the article into a biography (on which the film’s script is based) titled The Queen Of Katwe: A Story Of Life, Chess, And One Extraordinary Girl’s Dream Of Becoming A Grandmaster .  Nyong’o plays Phiona’s mother, Harriet Mutesi.
And if you have heard of The Simpsons or  Dawn of the Dinosaurs then this name will be familiar.   Mike Reiss is a producer and writer, known for The Simpsons (1989), The Simpsons Movie (2007) and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009) and together with his lovely wife recently also joined us in January at Wildwaters after their epic trip in Rwanda

Voted Top Chefs in Uganda
Vincent Senyonga and Fred Bayega, the two head chefs of Wildwaters Lodge have certainly earned their well-deserved titles of being awarded number 1 and number 2 best chefs in Uganda at the “Best Chefs of Uganda” competition this year. Ensuring that only the freshest ingredients go into their dishes, they are innovative and creative with their craft and consistently produce mouth-watering dishes for the guests staying at the lodge.  One of the guests’ favourite main dishes is the freshly-caught pan-seared tilapia fillets steamed in white wine and served with locally grown carrots, French beans and roast potatoes.  The lemon posset garnished with caramelized citrus zest, served with handmade shortbread is a big time favourite on the dessert menu.
