Wildwaters Lodge is open year-round affording guests the opportunity to enjoy this piece of paradise during all seasons.  Situated on 6.05 hectares of unspoiled island paradise and nestled between thundering rapids on the River Nile.   Wildwaters Lodge is situated 3km east of Kangulumira town on the quiet tarmac Kayunga Road that loops around Mabira Forest on the west bank of the Nile. Here, you are on a private oasis of tranquility and energy just 30 minutes to the adventure-hub of Jinja and 1.5 hours from Kampala.
Elevated wooden walkways gracefully link the rooms to the restaurant and bar area and offer an unforgettable walk through the heart of the forest. The main lodge is located on a solid rock peninsula amidst the rapids of the River Nile. 
The Lodge has beautifully appointed stand-alone suite-style rooms which are elevated above the ground and connected by a network of meandering walkways.  Some suites have a unique view of the Nile rapids that are both breathtaking and spectacular. Other rooms offer views of a tranquil Nile.   9 deluxe suites and 1 family suite make up the total compliment of accommodation on the island.  All suites are private and exclusive and can be made into a double or triple or twin configuration.  A day bed is standard in all suites.   The suites enjoy private balconies with free standing baths and mosquito nets.  Additionally, a room safe, en-suite private bathroom with great rain showers and complimentary toiletries are available.  Comfortable and casual clothing is recommended for yoru stay.  Days are normally warm and evenings can be cool.
Meals are taken in the main area by the pool-side with magnificent views of the River Nile.  All meals are included in your stay..  Private dinners can be catered for in your room or at the pool-side on request.  Our dishes are made from the freshest ingredients and we are able to accommodate most dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free amongst others. All dietary preferences must be advised at the time of booking.

The lodge power is supplied 24hrs by the national grid, with a generator back up. Power is 220v and the plugs are 3-pin square UK standard.  Adapters are available from the reception on request.
We welcome day visitors from 10:30 am – 16:30 pm, however, these can only be by pre-arranged reservation and lunch must be taken at the restaurant.   Guests wishing to join us for a day visit will be required to pay USD15.00 per person reserve fee.  A swimming pool charge of USD10.00 per person will be applicable for those wishing to use this facility (subject to availability and in-house guest occupancy).   Lunch and beverges are payable directly at reception prior to departure.

Transfers to the island from Entebbe, Kampala or Jinja can be arranged directly with the lodge. The transfers are charged per vehicle one-way.

Whilst children are most welcome, parents must understand that Wildwaters Lodge is situated on an island surrounded by grade 5 plus rapids.  They must be supervised at all times and will not be allowed to roam free on the island without being accompanied  by either one of their parents. They must also remain under adult supervision at all times.  

Foreign Currency is accepted and includes UK Pounds, US Dollars and Euros.  We also accept Visa and Master Card for payments.

Our management and staff have all been trained with basic Medical First Aid and we have a well equipped first aid box on site.  In the event where a medical evacuation is required, there is a helicopter pad on the island.  

Check-in time is normally 14:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am however, subject to availability we will try to accommodate an earlier check-in time.
